U.S. Embassy awards 12 scholarships for girls from Aragón, Canarias, and Murcia
The program “Women2Women Virtual Learning Experience Summer 2021, organized by the U.S. NGO Empower Peace, and funded by the U.S.Embassy in Spain, starts on July 1. Twelve girls from Aragón, Canarias, and Murcia have been selected to participate in this project. The awardees are participants of the Technovation Girls program in 2020 or 2021, and are students from 3 and 4 ESO and 1 Bachillerato in Spanish high schools, with an excellent level of English.
The goal of this initiative is to support a generation of young female students to develop important skills such as leadership, communication, and English-language ability, and prepare them with the necessary tools and opportunities for future success.
The program also connects them with a community of students with similar interests and with an international network of women and young leaders.
The program will start on July 1st with a welcoming session by the U.S. Embassy, and will finish on July 16 with a meeting with EducationUSA (the official Education Advising center of the U.S. State Department) about the possibilities to study in the United States.
Congratulations to all the girls that have been chosen to participate!
