On Wednesday November 22, US Speaker Dr. Susan Katz, Professor of International and Multicultural Education at the University of San Francisco along with Deputy Cultural Attaché Ryan Matheny, participated in the celebrations marking the Andalusian Roma Day  at the City Hall square in Granada. The commemoration was an opportunity to call attention to the history, experiences, and human rights of Spain´s largest ethnic minority,  celebrate the Gitano culture and extend awareness of the Andalusian Roma problems.   During the event, Dr. Katz, who has done extensive research on the issue and has recently coauthored an article on the education of Roma students in Granada, was interviewed by the Canal Sur radio station program “Aqui Estamos” (Here we Are).
