On January 28 the Consul General from the U.S. Embassy in Madrid and the Consular Agent in Fuengirola hosted a town hall for U.S. citizens in Málaga. Residents and visitors of all ages gathered to listen to current issues in Consular Affairs that concern U.S. citizens in Spain. The members of the audience also had an opportunity to ask questions that concern them, such as registering to vote overseas and how to stay abreast of security alerts while abroad. All U.S. citizens overseas are encouraged to enroll in the STEP program to receive alerts at step.state.gov.
