“Personalized Employment, an Opportunity to Create Unique Situations” by U.S. Expert Beth Keeton


The United States Embassy, in collaboration with the organization Plena Inclusión, participated in a seminar and workshops that offered best practices on Personalized Employment strategies so that people with complex needs can develop their employment prospects. Beth Keeton, the Executive Director for The Center for Social Capital and Chief Operating Officer for Griffin-Hammis Associates, Inc., presented the strategy “Customized Employment,” a support model for people with intellectual or developmental disabilities that need more access to the labor market. These sessions were delivered to a diverse audience of experts and professionals from human resources and employment departments, and member associations of the NGO Plena Inclusión.
