Screening of the Documentary “Sorolla, the Travel of Light”

More than 150 people attended the screening of the documentary “Sorolla, the travel of light,” a work that reviewed of the biography of the Valencian painter emphasizing his experience in the U.S. and the work that he did for the Hispanic Society of New York.

The Counselor of Public Diplomacy, Emilia Puma, presented the event that begun with a discussion about the cultural and historical ties between Spain and the United States in the early 1900’s when Spanish artist Joaquín Sorolla painted his “Vision of Spain” for the Hispanic Society, which catapulted him to fame in this country.
