Pioneers in American Feminism

On September, 19, U.S. Embassy Deputy Economic Counselor Laura Hochla spoke at a roundtable event at Casa America to commemorate Victoria Woodhull, the first U.S. female presidential candidate. Ms. Hochla also shared stories of other inspirational women from American history. The event highlighted the significance of having women’s voices involved in creating a more secure, prosperous and peaceful world and Ms. Hochla underlined the importance of looking for opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic to guarantee the empowerment of women.
