Visiting Madrid NASA Deputy Associate Administrator for Space Communications and Navigation, Badri Younes, visited the American Space at Madrid’s International Institute to address two groups of U.S. Embassy-funded Go American English! students for a talk entitled Scanning the Universe that included the latest updates on NASA’s current and future missions. Mr. Younes told the students that through hard work and persistence, they could achieve their dreams, and that NASA is counting on them to become the future leaders of space exploration and to help us go “where no man has gone before”. The secondary students were very intrigued about NASA’s mission of space exploration and discovery. During the long question and answer session, Mr. Younes encouraged their curiosity to learn, particularly emphasizing the contribution the girls in the audience can make to scientific discovery.
