Location: Spain
Event: A truck transportation strike began in Spain on March 14, 2022. The duration of the strike is unknown.
Due to this truck transportation strike, we anticipate significant delays in document delivery, including the return of U.S. passports and passports with visas. We regret this delay, which is out of our control.
If you have urgent travel before March 31 and are waiting on your U.S. passport to be delivered from the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, please email us at askACS@state.gov; for the U.S. Consulate General Barcelona, please email us at BarcelonaACS@state.gov. Please note that alternative options may be quite limited. For all routine travel, the courier company will deliver your passport as soon as possible.
