





Ambassador Julissa Reynoso and Deputy Chief of Mission Conrad Tribble met at the Embassy with the teachers of the third edition of the “Defensa y Yo” program, a project that seeks to cultivate a culture of security and defense among the youth. Afterward, the professors joined a group of students, the winners of the second edition of the program, for a briefing Counselor for Public Diplomacy, Jon Piechowski; Defense Attaché, Captain Manuel Picon; Chief of the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation-Spain, Captain Karsten Spies; and Political-Military and Security Affairs Officer, Maureen McGovern. The third phase of the “Defensa y Yo” program will take place during the 2022-2023 academic year and will include 6 public universities from throughout Spain.
