Media Literacy Training at the American Spaces in Spain
From October to December 2019, the network of American Spaces in Spain (in Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid) organized a series of media literacy workshops for high school students and teachers with the support of U.S. Mission Spain. Led by two university professors, the program taught young people skills and tools to detect misinformation circulating on the Internet and on social networks in particular. The workshops also promoted the responsible and ethical use of social networks, and highlighted the importance of being well-informed citizens.
