The U.S. Embassy in collaboration with the Inspiring Girls Foundation, launched the “Inspiring Girls American Space Club”, a program for girls and young women between the ages of 15-20 that looks to reinforce their leadership skills. This project will take place in the American Spaces in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, and will be entirely conducted in English.
The Cultural Attaché of the US Embassy, Ana Duque-Higgins, highlighted, “these clubs look to motivate girls to learn and use English as a language that opens doors and runs through borders, to inspire them to look for opportunities outside of Spain, including in the US, and give them tools for leadership, technology, personal branding and negotiating skills.” The EducationUSA Advisor, Nanor Demirjian, also participated in the event where she explained higher education opportunities in the United States.
