Inclusive Employment: Customized Employment for Those With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities


In collaboration with the Corporate Social Responsibility council Cointegra, the Embassy invited businesses from Spain and the United States to a discussion with Beth Keeton, the Executive Director for The Center for Social Capital and Chief Operating Officer for Griffin-Hammis Associates, Inc. Keeton presented the “Personalized Employment” model, a support model designed for people with developmental or intellectual disabilities that require more support to access the labor market. More than twenty representatives from human resource departments at businesses interested in implementing inclusive employment strategies participated in the roundtable discussion.
