#GirlsTech Summer Camp Arrives in Zaragoza

During the last week of June, the U.S. Consulate General in Barcelona brought to Zaragoza Mission Spain’s successful #GirlsTech program, following previous editions in Madrid, Valencia, Santander, Barcelona and Girona. This initiative inspires and educates girls in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), giving them the necessary skills to succeed in these fields. Participants were able to learn essential concepts of digital fabrication through a series of makerspace activities, focusing on the duality between “new” and “old” technologies. Through innovative hands-on workshops, the girls learned the basics of coding, electronics, e-textiles and 3D design and printing.
