The Madrid Aqua Energy Forum 2019 is the third edition of the conference on water security organized by think tank Fundación Jorge Juan. The conference is directed at delegates with decision making capacity of energy companies, infrastructure, water, insurance, classification societies, etc. With the theme, “How do you want the world to be in 2030,” more than 200 delegates are expected also to hear the views of experts and discussion panels to direct the water and energy policies of the future.
Frank Talluto, Environment, Science and Technology Officer with the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, presented the U.S. Government’s Global Water Strategy, a four point initiative to improve global access to drinking water, improve management of fresh water resources, promote international cooperation on shared water resources, and strengthen governance of water sector institutions.
