The Department of Public Diplomacy visited both the Fundacion International Studies-FIS and the Fundación Tomillo and as part of the State Department’s English Access Program. POL Counselor Shelby Smith-Wilson and Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, Ryan Matheny, gave a presentation to the students in the class on the U.S. Elections process and the road to the White House. The presentations were engaging and productive, inviting students to ask questions and expand their English vocabulary. Moreover, they were designed to pique the student’s interest in U.S. politics and notice similarities and differences between the systems of government in the U.S. and Spain.
