Demonstrations Alert – U.S. Embassy Madrid, Spain

On Friday, April 13, 2018, a demonstration associated with the Summit of the Americas occurring April 13-14 in Lima, Peru, is expected to take place outside the U.S. Embassy in Madrid. Approximately 200 people are expected to participate in the demonstration, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and last for two hours.

On Sunday, April 15, 2018, a march is expected to start near the U.S. Embassy in Madrid and finish at the Plaza de la Independencia. The march is scheduled to begin at the corner of Calle Serrano and Calle Diego de Leon at 11:30 a.m. The march is taking place to celebrate “International Day of Life” and organizers estimate 30,000 participants.

 Avoid the area of the demonstration.

 Exercise caution if in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
