U.S. Embassy Madrid, in collaboration with the VIA Círculo Jefferson Association, hosted a breakfast September 21 at which Counselor for Economic Affairs Christy Agor spoke on the pressing economic and trade issues with alumni of the State Department’s International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP). Justen Thomas, Cultural Attaché, opened the event and welcomed the in-person and virtual participants. Christy Agor shared with a group of 40 IVLP alumni—who are Spanish experts in economics, international relations, trade, and education—key components of the U.S.-Spain economic relationship. After her presentation, three IVLP alumni had the opportunity to share about their IVLP experiences, which consisted of a short-term professional visit to the United States to meet with American counterparts and important initiatives. Following the presentations, Christy and the participants engaged in a lively discusión, which included questions from the attendees.
