











Ambassador Reynoso travelled to Cuenca on Monday January 23 to preside over the closing ceremony of the “Academy for Women Entrepreneurs” (AWE) held from March to December 2022 in the regions of Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia. The program was implemented by the Asociación de Jovenes Empresarios (AJE) of Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia to provide women entrepreneurs in small cities with populations ranging between 2,000 and 40,000 inhabitants with the knowledge, networks, and access they need to launch and scale successful businesses. The ceremony began with remarks by Javier Redondo, President of AJE Castilla-La Mancha, Blanca Fernandez, Regional Minister of Equality and a Spokesperson of the Government of Castilla–La Mancha and Ambassador Julissa Reynoso who stressed how entrepreneurship is in America´s DNA since its founding and how the U.S. believes in supporting women entrepreneurs to promote inclusive economic growth. The event closed with the AWE certificates presentation to the 30 graduates and a reception at the recently inaugurated American Space Quixote headquarters, which is housed at FabLab in Cuenca.
