Ambassador Reynoso visited Rota, December 14-15, to highlight the strong U.S.-Spain security and defense partnership. During her visit she participated in a Radio Cadiz-Cadena Ser event, hosted by the Municipality of Rota and Provincial Council of Cadiz, on the history and future of U.S.-Spain cooperation at Naval Base Rota. Together with the Mayor of Rota, she also inaugurated a new plaza dedicated to the United States. While visiting the base the Ambassador met with Spanish military leadership, toured the USS Bulkeley, and had an opportunity to engage with schoolchildren at the base’s upper and lower schools.
