During her two-day visit to Barcelona, Ambassador Reynoso inaugurated the United States pavilion at the Smart City Expo World Congress on urban innovation. The ambassador also met with the Spanish government delegate in Catalonia, Maria Eugènia Gay, and with the president of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Pere Aragonès. In addition, she visited the Cisco Innovation Center, following the U.S. company’s recent announcement that it would expand its presence in Barcelona. At the Barcelona Center for International Affairs (CIDOB), the ambassador participated in a meeting with its director and senior researchers to discuss the Biden Administration’s position on current international affairs. She also visited the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) and met with its director, and Rec Comtal school, a pioneer in the implementation in Spain of the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Short-Term Program. She also attended a reception and performance at the Circulo del Liceo.
