The Embassy celebrated the 247th anniversary of the Independence of the United States with a big party at the Plaza de las Ventas in Madrid; Ambassador Reynosos presided over the event which highlighted the excellent relationship between the U.S. and Spain. As the Ambassador said in her speech: “Spain is an indispensable ally, a partner, a friend of the United States. The relations between the two countries are evident not only between governments, but also between people, between our citizens”.
During the official ceremony, Marines performed the “Presentation of Colors” to the march “Semper Fidelis,” and internationally-known artist, Ruth Lorenzo, concluded the program by singing the U.S. National anthem. David Bisbal kicked off the afterparty, thrilling the audience with his music and dancing. During the event, DJ LaFiebre and the blues band Sampa Trio also performed.
